On Jan 11, 2020, Bill Hunter, KIFE Museum Chairman, presented Beth Bason, from Miller’s Gun Shop, a PA. Trappers Association Commemorative wooden mouse trap as a token of our appreciation for the use of their building as KIFE meeting place.

On Aug. 10, 2019, Doug Chubb from the Pennsylvania Trappers Association with Pete Ellerman from KIFE along with many other people from the PTA provided a day of training to the youth of Perry County. 

On June 8, 2019, Doug Chubb from the PTA and Pete Ellerman from KIFE along with a crew from District 8 PTA put on a one day field event showing the different types of traps and how to use them.

On May 29, 2019, Frank Mohn of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association and Pete Ellerman of The Keystone Institute for Furbearer Education spoke to the students about the correct use of traps in capturing furbearers as a renewable resource.
